Powder Springs, Georgia

Powder Springs holds a special place in my heart because it’s where my family spent 17 wonderful years. It’s the kind of community where neighbors know each other, and life feels a little slower—in the best way possible.

We raised our kids here, and it’s where they made lifelong friends, joined Brownies, and even went to prom with the same group of girls. The sense of safety and community made it the perfect place to call home.

One of our favorite spots for a bite to eat was Johnny's BBQ in downtown Powder Springs. In fact, my son loved it so much, he worked there for a while! For shopping, we often visited the nearby Avenue West Cobb, which has everything from Ann Taylor to Barnes & Noble.

When we wanted to get outside, we’d head to the Silver Comet Trail, which is perfect for biking and walking. Its peaceful scenery always made it a great escape from the hustle and bustle.

Powder Springs is also ideally located close to Atlanta, so it’s easy to enjoy the city while still coming home to a quiet, family-friendly town.
